The West End Reflexology Practice is very proud to announce the inclusion of Louise Gourley gssr msir mar in The NHS Directory of Alternative and Complementary Practitioners.
What this means to you is that primary care providers, such as GPs, are now able not only to refer to us, but to also PAY FOR THE TREATMENT.
Ask your doctor next time you visit if your practice is following this parlimentary directive, and are they willing to pay for your reflexology treatment. It is totally at your GPs discression whether they are willing to pay or not.
If your GP agrees to look into referring you for reflexology, direct them to www.nhsta.org.uk where they will find information on how to go about it, and the details of this practice. Alternatively, you can give them our details, and they can talk to us directly.
If your GP refuses, you are legally entitled to a reason why not. The NHS have requested that if you have any difficulty obtaining complementary therapys via the NHS you would contact your Patient Advice and Liason Officer ( PAL ) at your local health council.
The address for Tayside is; Scottish Health Council Tayside, Ground Floor, Argyll House, Marketgate, Dundee DD1 1QP.
Below is a downloadable file containing a draft of the recommended complaint letter, the more people that complain, the more evident the public demand will be to GPs, and hopefully this will lead to more of us recieving the care we deserve from the NHS,
